    Mister Rogers arrives with a painting of a tree covered in snow. He shows that when you look closely, three birds can be seen hidden in the tree. Mister Rogers then shares a film about cardinals. After the film, Mister Rogers signs Everybody's Fancy before Mrs. Shiono stops by to demonstrate her origami talents. In the kitchen, Mrs. Shiono shows various pieces that she has made from paper and makes a puppet for Mister Rogers. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Handyman Negri is helping X the Owl prepare for a visit from Cousin Mary Owl. Together they have made several small birds which emerge from X's door with welcome greetings written on them in various languages. Before Cousin Mary arrives, X and Lady Aberlin go to Southwood to discover that Betty and James Michael Jones have adopted a daughter.

They all go to the Museum-Go-Round for Henrietta's surprise birthday party. After the party, Henrietta is surprised to hear that Reardon is making a new opera that will air the next day.
